Slothrust, new transplants to the west coast, celebrate roots both old and new with their new EP, ”Show Me How You Want It To Be,” available on vinyl and digital November 10th on Dangerbird. The EP is a collection of unexpected and inventive takes on classics by icons as diverse as Al Green and Britney Spears, Marcy Playground and Louis Armstrong. Slothrust is led by guitarist and vocalist Leah Wellbaum, an expressive and fiery player with a uniquely deadpan vocal delivery style and refreshing knack for depth and absurdity as a songwriter and lyricist. With bassist Kyle Bann and drummer Will Gorin, Slothrust form a trio that is one of the most exciting and agile young rock bands in recent memory. The selections on ”Show Me How You Want It To Be” showcases the diverse and discerning musicianship that has earned Slothrust an army of admirers that first began building with their song ”7: 30 AM,” featured as the theme song for 4 seasons of the FX Network show ”You're The Worst.” The EP follows the release of their third full-length release ”Everyone Else,” which featured the singles ”Horseshoe Crab,” ”Rotten Pumpkin” and ” Like a Child Hiding Behind Your Tombstone” and saw Slothrust igniting audiences on sold-out headline dates, festival dates like Lollapalooza and support tours with Highly Suspect. In support of the release, Slothrust will tour Europe this fall opening on Manchester Orchestra's sold-out European tour.
